Territorial development: female dimension

A real territorial development cannot afford to disregard the training, involvement and enhancement of the whole population, regardless of gender. Women represent an indispensable resource for the economic and social growth and well-being of our territorial communities, but they have been - and continue to be - among the most affected by the current economic situation.
 
Against this backdrop and in line with the results of the study “Female entrepreneurship in the Euregio" , which was recently published in Italian and German language, the Trentino Presidency has promoted the project Territorial development: female dimension. The initiative has aimed, through a Euroregional working group, to look at the opportunities, challenges and successful examples of female entrepreneurship in the Euregio. 

The objectives of the project are:  

• To give visibility and enhance the talent and innovative capacity of women entrepreneurs in the Euregio. 
• Fostering the identification and exchange of experiences and best practices  
• Create information and training opportunities and experiential seminars on relevant topics  
• Disseminate the values of entrepreneurship and work among the female population and in particular among the new generations, also by presenting positive role models 
• Raise awareness of the need for more innovative women's enterprises.
