Euregio study on working conditions
What are the working conditions in Tyrol, South Tyrol, Trentino? Which framework conditions are important for employers? How satisfied are employees? These and similar aspects are to be analysed with the Euregio Study on Quality of Work. Based on the European Union Working Conditions Survey (EWCS), which takes place every five years, the Euregio has set itself the goal of conducting a comprehensive survey, following the European model, with around 750 surveys for every region. The study should enable interregional comparisons to be made and conclusions to be drawn about relevant factors that have an influence on working conditions.
Fit for the future of the job market
The study is the first cross-border initiative in this field in Europe. In terms of content, the standardised method opens up comparability both within (that is between the three member regions) and outside the Euregio.
One of the main objectives of the Euregio study on working conditions is to develop a strategy together with the competent regional departments and the social partners to jointly meet the challenges of the changing labour market, especially with regard to new occupations and job profiles.
Data and evaluation
The survey covers employees, employers and freelancers in the five-year period 2020-2024. The data is intended to allow well-founded conclusions to be drawn for particularly relevant sectors in the Euregio (e.g. hotel and catering industry, manufacturing industry, crafts, construction and ancillary construction trades, public administration).
From the results of the study, which are evaluated by the Tyrolean Chamber of Labour, the South Tyrol Labour Research Institute and the Trentino Employment Agency, one aspect or sector is the focus of an annual Euregio event each year and is discussed with the administrations, social partners, companies and academics.
