One of the three Governors of the Euregio territories holds the position of EGTC President. The position is alternated between the member territories every two years, as an expression of equality. The President is the legal representative of the EGTC and carries out the following tasks:
convenes the Board, chairs it and sets its agenda,
proposes the annual and multi-annual budget to the Assembly and reports to it about the Board’s activities
submits the annual work programme to the Board
For the implementation of the activities, the Board and the President avail themselves of the support of a General Secretariat. Each region appoints a representative to the EGTC’s General Secretariat, which is based in Bozen/Bolzano.
