Specialised boards
Specialised boards may be established by the Euregio Board, acting unanimously, if the need arises. The Board may assign specific tasks to them.
The specialised boards are made up of the members of the executive bodies (provincial or regional governments) competent for the subject matter and chaired by the member of the territory holding the Presidency of the Euregio at the time.
They may adopt motions. However, final decisions are taken by the Euregio Board.

Civil protection is a very important topic in the Euregio Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino, on which the territories have been cooperating in different ways for years. In recent years, the Euregio has also approved a project called 'Civil Protection in the Euregio' in order to overcome legal obstacles in cross-border disaster prevention activities.
In the autumn of 2022, the Euregio Board decided to establish a specialised board on the topic of civil protection with the task of drawing up a draft agreement for cooperation in this field.
During a meeting of the specialised board on 26 April 2023 in Trento, a draft agreement for cross-border cooperation in the field of civil protection and disaster prevention in the three territories was therefore drawn up. The outline, which regulates the conditions for voluntary assistance in the event of disasters or serious accidents, through the dispatch of rescue teams, material or the exchange of information, was subsequently presented to the Euregio board on 13 May 2023, who approved it.
