EU institutions or agencies of the European Commission offer traineeships for university graduates. Each year, around 1,900 young people have the chance to increase their professional skills, develop their personal qualities and enhance their EU knowledge – in Brussels, but also in Luxembourg and elsewhere in the EU. The selection procedures for traineeships are run individually by the EU institutions and agencies themselves. You can apply to as many institutions as you want, however, you are allowed to complete only one internship.
The application process for a position in one of the EU institutions or agencies varies according to the contract type. There are several categories of work contracts: a permanent contract, a fixed-term contract (CAST) and a temporary contract.
For each contract type, there will be a set selection procedure to follow carried out by the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO)
