How to harmonise European rail systems in line with the green and digital transition of the EU

2021 marks the European Year of Rail, but also the first year of the implementation of the 4th Mobility Package and the legislative negotiations on the European Green Deal. With this window of opportunity, our interactive workshop at the European Week of Regions and Cities intends to contribute to the multi-level discussion by focusing on a number of specific aspects related to the European Commission's broader strategies for harmonising European rail systems.

This joint session has been created in a strong European partnership along the Scandinavian Mediterranean TEN-T Corridor (+other partner regions). Together with the TEN-T policy and beyond, the goal of strengthening the railway sector is hereby considered a key element for a sustainable future for all of us.
